چکیده

The LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) CERN has successfully performed a large number of physics measurements during Runs 1 and 2 LHC. Monte Carlo simulation is key to interpretation these future measurements. currently undergoing major detector upgrade for Run 3 LHC process events with five times higher luminosity. New software technologies have be introduced produce simulated data samples sufficient size within computing resources allocated next few years. Therefore, collaboration preparing an upgraded version its Gauss framework. new provides specific functionality while generic infrastructure been encapsulated in independent framework, Gaussino. latter combines Gaudi core framework Geant4 toolkit fully exploits their multi-threading capabilities. A prototype fast interface being developed as latest addition Gaussino provide extensive palette models, including deep learning-based options.

Decays at the LHCb Experiment

A search for the rare decays Bs ! þ and B ! þ is performed at the LHCb experiment. The data analyzed correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb 1 of pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeVand 2 fb 1 at 8 TeV. An excess of Bs ! þ signal candidates with respect to the background expectation is seen with a significance of 4.0 standard deviations. A time-integrated branching fraction ...

πνν̄ experiment at CERN

The P326 proposal for an experiment to measure the branching ratio of the very rare kaon decay K + → π + ν ¯ ν at the CERN SPS is described. The proposed experiment aims to collect about 80 K + → π + ν ¯ ν events with a 10% of background in two years of data taking. The status of the project, the R&D and the future perspectives for the experiment are discussed.

The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC

The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector is described. The detector operates at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. It was conceived to study proton-proton (and leadlead) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV (5.5 TeV nucleon-nucleon) and at luminosities up to 1034 cm−2s−1 (1027 cm−2s−1). At the core of the CMS detector sits a high-magneticfield and large-bore superconducting sol...

New Physics Search at Lhcb

Although direct detection of new particles will be the main focus of the LHC, indirect New Physics searches are expected to provide useful complementary information. In particular, precision measurements of rare processes occurring in flavour physics are of utmost importance in constraining the structure of the New physics low energy effective Lagrangian. In this paper, few key LHCb studies, in...

Monitoring tools of COMPASS experiment at CERN

This paper briefly introduces the data acquisition system of the COMPASS experiment and is mainly focused on the part that is responsible for the monitoring of the nodes in the whole newly developed data acquisition system of this experiment. The COMPASS is a high energy particle experiment with a fixed target located at the SPS of the CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland. The hardware of the...
